My Grandmother’s Chocolate Bar cookies

 ½ C. Butter

¼ C. sugar

5 T. cocoa powder

1 egg, lightly beaten

  •  Melt these ingredients until smooth on the stovetop.
  •  Add into that mixture:

1 t. vanilla

2 C. graham cracker crumbs

1 C. grated coconut

½ C. pecans, chopped

  •  Stir until well blended. Spread mixture evenly in a buttered 9” pan.
  • Cream together:

¼ C. butter, softened

3 T. milk

2 T. instant vanilla pudding granules

2 C. sifted powdered sugar

  •  Spread this creamy mixture over the graham cracker mixture in the pan.
  •  Over low heat melt:

8 oz. (2 bars) semi-sweet chocolate

1 T. butter

  • Stir until smooth. Spread chocolate mix over creamy mixture in pan. Let stand in the refrigerator until hardened.
